About this template
The Event Log contains 200 prepared operational rows, covering rows 2 through 201. Some rows contain populated sample events that demonstrate the workflow; the remaining prepared blank rows are available for operational entry and are not additional records.
User-entry fields are Event ID, Session Code, Participant ID, Actual Arrival, Actual Departure, Reason Category, Excuse Status, Review Status, Follow-Up Owner, Review Due Date, and Notes.
The workbook retrieves or calculates Session Date, Participant Name, Program, Session Title, Scheduled Start, Scheduled End, Late Minutes, Early Departure Minutes, Total Minutes Missed, Event Type, and Alert. The Instructions sheet advises users not to overwrite gray formula cells.
Late Minutes measures how many minutes Actual Arrival occurs after Scheduled Start. Early Departure Minutes measures how many minutes Actual Departure occurs before Scheduled End. Neither result can be negative, and Total Minutes Missed is the sum of both values.
A populated record can display Missing required information when its Session Code or Participant ID is missing. It can request an arrival or departure time when both actual timing fields are blank. It can display Review required when Total Minutes Missed meets or exceeds the Settings threshold and Review Status is blank or Open. It can display Review overdue when the due date has passed and Review Status is not Completed.
The Dashboard filters Event Log records by Start Date, End Date, and Program. It reports Logged Records, Late Arrivals, Early Departures, Total Minutes Missed, Average Minutes Missed, and Records Requiring Action. It also summarizes six monthly periods and the seven listed reason categories through two charts.
No. The workbook is an operational tracking tool. Its Instructions sheet states that it does not guarantee legal, regulatory, accreditation, or privacy compliance.
