- Review scheduling issues before publication: Calculated alerts identify missing dates or times, end times that are not after start times, enrollment above capacity, and overlapping instructor or location assignments.
- Monitor enrollment and open seats: The template calculates seats available for each populated row and summarizes aggregate enrollment, positive available seats, and enrollment utilization for scheduled sessions in the selected reporting period.
- Standardize recurring entries: Prepared dropdowns provide consistent choices for delivery format, time zone, instructor, and status. Additional validation applies to dates, times, capacity, enrollment, and Class ID length.

About this template
The Class Schedule sheet contains 200 prepared operational rows, from row 9 through row 208. Ten rows are populated with sample records that may be replaced or cleared; those examples are included within the 200-row total.
You can enter a class ID, course code, class title, section, class date, start and end times, time zone, delivery format, location, meeting link, instructor, capacity, enrollment, and status. The workbook then calculates duration, seats available, schedule alerts, and publishing readiness.
Yes. Its formulas check for overlapping instructor and location assignments, along with missing dates or times, invalid time order, and enrollment above capacity. Canceled sessions are excluded from conflict comparisons, and back-to-back sessions are allowed. Overnight sessions are not supported.
A scheduled record returns Yes when it passes the workbook checks and No when it requires attention. Completed and canceled records return N/A. Records with other statuses do not qualify as ready to publish.
For the selected report dates, the dashboard shows Scheduled Sessions, Total Enrolled, Available Seats, Enrollment Utilization, Rows Needing Review, and Ready to Publish. It also includes charts of scheduled sessions by weekday and delivery format.
The Settings & Lists sheet provides blank cells below the existing instructor names and instructs users not to insert blank rows within an active list. Delivery-format and status labels are used by formulas and checks, so changing those labels requires the related workbook logic to be updated as well.
