This free Excel template helps teams manage enrollment status reconciliation. This free enrollment status reconciliation Excel template helps course operations teams compare SIS and LMS enrollment statuses in a consistent, reviewable format. Enter one enrollment record per prepared row, and the workbook calculates the expected LMS status, reconciliation result, days open, priority, and duplicate check. It also supports issue assignment and resolution tracking through owner, issue date, resolution status, resolution date, and notes fields.
The four included sheets are Dashboard, Reconciliation, Lists, and Instructions. Populated sample records are included for illustration and should be replaced or cleared before operational use without overwriting the formula-driven columns.

About this template
The Reconciliation sheet contains 100 prepared operational rows, from row 7 through row 106. Formulas for Expected LMS Status, Reconciliation Result, Days Open, Priority, and Duplicate Check are present across those rows.
The workbook manifest does not establish formula, validation, table, or dashboard coverage beyond row 106, so additional capacity should not be assumed.
Each populated row requires a Reconciliation ID, Learner Reference, Course Code, Section, Term, SIS Status, and LMS Status. If one or more of these required values is missing, the calculated Reconciliation Result is Incomplete.
Learner Display Name and the operational tracking fields are not listed as required record fields, although issue dates and owners are important for resolving discrepancies and are checked by Dashboard alerts.
The Duplicate Check looks for repeated combinations of Learner Reference, Course Code, Section, and Term within rows 7 through 106. When the same combination appears more than once, the check returns Duplicate and the reconciliation result classifies the affected populated record as Duplicate.
The Reconciliation ID has separate custom validation requiring each populated ID in the prepared range to be unique.
An unresolved Missing in LMS, Access Should Be Removed, or Unexpected LMS Record result is assigned High priority. An unresolved status mismatch is also High when its Days Open value reaches the Aging Alert Days setting on the Lists sheet.
Other unresolved discrepancies below the aging threshold are Medium. Priority is blank for records that are Matched, Incomplete, Duplicate, Resolved, or marked No Action Needed. The Instructions sheet states that priority is an operational queueing aid, not a risk or compliance determination.
The workbook provides list validation for SIS Status, LMS Status, Owner, and Resolution Status. It also validates unique reconciliation IDs, operational dates, the reporting as-of date, the aging threshold, and the 500-character limit for Resolution Notes.
The reporting date must be between January 1, 2020 and December 31, 2099. Aging Alert Days must be a whole number from 1 through 365. Applicable record dates cannot be later than the reporting date, and a resolution date cannot be earlier than its issue date when an issue date is present.
No. The workbook compares entered SIS and LMS values, calculates reconciliation outcomes, supports issue assignment and resolution tracking, and summarizes the results on a Dashboard.
No direct SIS or LMS connection, import automation, or record-update capability is identified in the workbook manifest. Data must be entered or pasted into the prepared Reconciliation rows.
